Four friends, a love of quilting, and a passion for adventure; that’s how Four Corners Quilting began. Though we live in different parts of the country, our friendship has always brought us together, and we wanted to create a place where others could experience that same sense of connection. We believe quilting is about so much more than fabric and thread; it’s about the stories we share, the friendships we make, and the memories created along the way. Our retreats bring quilters together to stitch, laugh, explore new places, and enjoy time with people who share their love of quilting. Quilting, Traveling, Connecting - that’s what Four Corners Quilting is all about!

Hi, my name is Mark aka the Quilting Marine on YouTube. After serving 20 years in the Marine Corps and experiencing some of the things I did while serving, I was having issues with PTSD and needed something to occupy my mind. Quilting does this for me; it is my therapy. The birth of my first Grandson motivated me to make a gift I couldn’t buy. I grabbed a sewing machine, everything off the shelf at Wal-Mart, and watched my now friend, Rob, on man-sewing, and the rest got me to our four corners. I taught myself to quilt and would like to help you make quilts that you can admire for years to come. I specialize in New York Beauties and the brighter the fabric the better. My rules are there are no rules, you do you, because it’s only fabric and it’s only thread!

Hi , my name is Rob Appell. I’m a California native, and it shows—surfing, hiking, and playing the guitar are at the top of my list, when I’m not behind a sewing machine. I have an awesome, supportive family. My wife and two kids are the center of my world. I love teaching people to sew and I’m jazzed to share my passion with you! If you’re wondering how I got started quilting, it all began when I was working in my mother’s quilt shop. I caught the quilt pox and there was no cure! I taught myself to quilt and my personal style emerged. Quilted seascapes became my trademark. After a few years, I started designing fabric for Free Spirit. Not much later, I was designing quilts for Michael Miller’s new fabric releases too. After that I spent four years as the host of Missouri Star’s Man Sewing channel. Then I was blessed to collaborate with Stitchin’ Heaven in Quitman, TX, managing their Youtube channel and creating a ton of video content. NOW, join me on YouTube at Sew Well with Rob Appell. Hello, I’m Stephanie of Stephanie’s Stitches and Together We Sew Quilting. I have been sewing for forty years, quilting for twenty, and longarm quilting for ten. I’m an award-winning quilter, YouTube creator, pattern designer, and quilt retreat host. Most recently I was a Benartex Ambassador for 2025 and as of 2026, I am a Benartexpert. My style varies as I enjoy traditional piecing to more modern techniques like foundation paper piecing. I love sharing my passion with others and watching the light come on when teaching new quilters. My mantra is ‘Progress Over Perfection’ and I encourage every quilter to quilt with kindness and grace for themselves and others. Besides sewing, I love traveling, reading, music, and spending time with friends and family. I’m from the great state of Ohio where quilting makes strangers friends, we support one another, and ‘Together We Sew’.

Hello, my name is Kevin and I live in Georgia with my wonderful wife Debra. I met Rob, Mark, and Stephanie at a quilt retreat and it was there that we formed our bond. Quilting is one of my many hobbies including gardening, cooking, and traveling. I am a certified Handi Quilter technician and longarm quilter. I recently retired and have been actively working on my YouTube channel, Harpguy, where I showcase my growing skills on the harp. I started hosting quilt retreats here in Georgia where I get to combine my love of cooking with my love of quilting, and sometimes even share some of my music. I am passionate about creating an unforgettable experience and look forward to hosting you at future retreats with Four Corners Quilting.
